Before starting
Using Springly's website feature, you can create a dedicated login/registration page. Here, your existing members can connect to their accounts and your potential members can sign up to create theirs. For a detailed guide on how to create and edit your login/registration page, check out this article.
If you would like to validate registrations before granting new registrants access to your platform, this is also possible. This article goes through exactly how to do this and includes:
What is a registration subject to approval?
If you configure this feature, people will be able to register and create an account on your login/registration page, but will not have immediate access to their account or any walled content. They will have to be validated by your team beforehand.
You can validate new accounts by going to the Community > Contacts tab.
You will receive a weekly reminder (if relevant) that certain accounts have not yet been validated.
How to activate registration subject to approval
- Go to Website > Settings and Themes
- Scroll down to the heading Other Options and locate the option Registration page & profile page (of your contacts)
- Click on this option and three options will appear under Create a sign-up page.
- Choose "Yes, with registration subject to approval".
- You can now select what information needs to be collected at the time of registration. You do this by selecting one of the following three options: Do not require, Optional, and Required.
- Click Save. Your changes have now been made.
