Before starting
Your Community Settings is the place where you will be able to define key criteria on how to identify your contacts and what information to collect from them.
This article presents an overview of:
Choosing the Unique User ID
The unique user ID aims to identify and differentiate your contacts between themselves. It is a piece of information that must be unique to each person.
You can choose between the following types of Unique User ID:
- Email: Practical unless several contacts share the same one
- Springly ID: Based on numbers that are automatically generated by the software
- Custom information field: One that you will create and select as your unique user ID
Creating information Fields
By default, the software creates 8 basic information fields to fill out your contact profiles with the essential details. You can create custom information fields in order to collect more information based on your needs.
Once defined on the page Community > Settings, these fields can be used in all the forms across our software (e.g. signing up for a membership, donation, event, store purchase, or any registration page).
