Before starting
Set up your own domain from GoDaddy.
In case of a problem, we will be able to do the configuration for you only if you subscribe to the option from within the software.
This article covers the following topics:
Adding a CNAME record
- Connect to your GoDaddy account
- Click on the button Manage DNS in front of the domain you want to manage
- At the bottom of the list of DNS records, click ADD and choose CNAME from the drop-down list
- Fill in the fields. Attention, it is not necessary to add the "." after ".net"
- Click on "Save"
The target domain must be "springly-2.azurefd.net" regardless of the domain name. If the organization name is "organizations of friends", the target will be "springly-2.azurefd.net" and not "organizations-of-friends.springly.com". We change the target domain every 100 registered domains. So it will be regularly updated in this article, but you won't need to make any changes if you have already set up your domain name.
Validate the settings made on your side (required)
If you set up your domain name yourself, you will still have to finalize this setting in the software. This action sends a request to our services which will carry out the last necessary steps (installation of the SSL certificate in particular).
Go to the Website > Settings and Themes > Domain name page. Choose the options I already have a domain name and I set my domain name alone.
All you have to do is complete the 3 steps requested:
