Before starting
Our software is no longer maintained for use on Internet Explorer versions 8 and 9 since September 1, 2016.
What does this mean for me?
Users of Internet Explorer 8 or 9 will be able to continue to use the platform but we will no longer guarantee the proper functioning of new and/or existing functionalities as of September 1, 2016.
Problems reported on these versions will no longer be addressed.
Security reasons
Internet Explorer 8 (2009) and 9 (2011) are no longer maintained by Microsoft. Therefore, Microsoft no longer provides security updates or technical support, meaning these versions now have multiple security holes.
New vulnerabilities are found regularly as indicated in this article.
Some malicious websites lock the computer's hard drive through these security holes in old browsers, then demand a ransom from the user to regain control, known as ransomware. These loopholes can also be used to monitor user activity on the Internet and steal passwords.
Performance deficit of our new functionalities
New functionalities developed, such as the mobile version of the site, the downloading of several photos in the gallery, and the design effects of the site (rounded corners, shadows, transparency effects, etc.) are not usable on these browsers.
The navigation is less fluid and the pages load more slowly. Our technical team is forced to make exceptions for these versions, which slows down the improvement of the software.
