This article covers the following points:
Set up compensation methods
The configuration is done in the Settings Center: Settings > Online payment > Manage your e-Wallet
From this page, you will then be able to choose the method of managing fees that suits you:
- Costs paid by the organization (3.1% + $0.30)
- Suggested tip at checkout
An organization can modify its method of remuneration at any time, this will be taken into consideration for future transactions.
The online account must be activated to be able to choose the payment method.
Online fees
The organization decides to bear the cost of online payment. The transaction fees are then deducted from the sums collected online.
On the online sales pages, these fees are calculated per payment and include VAT.
💳 Charges on payments made by Credit Card: 3.1% + $0.30
These fees are set for all network cards.
The list of transaction costs can be consulted in the General Conditions of Use and Sale.
Tip management
The organization accepts that the person who pays by credit card is asked at the time of payment to leave an additional amount, calculated on the amount of his basket.
Arriving at the Payment stage, a tip will be offered by Springly to the buyer. A scale will be calculated according to the total amount of the order and will be between $0.25 and $25.00.
Example
Membership fee = $10
During my payment, a tip of $2.35 will then be suggested to me by the software:
Shoppers are free to change the amount by clicking the 'Edit my tip' button.
Payment in installments
For payment in installments, the tip will be divided between the number of installments. This will be an additional amount added to the initial amount of the order.
Example
If the amount of my order is $150.00 with a $4.00 tip, my payment schedule will be:
1st installment = $51.34 ($1.34 tip)
2nd installment = $51.33 ($1.33 tip)
3rd installment = $51.33 ($1.33 tip)
As usual, a confirmation email will be sent to your member with payment details (transaction amount + tip).
How is the suggested tip amount calculated?
We used market standards to calculate the suggested tip. At the time of payment, the person paying can change this amount as they wish.
If you have decided to only collect payments by check or check, then no transaction fees apply, and no tipping is suggested.
If the initial order is refunded, the tip will not be refunded by Springly to the user.
