The partial tax receipt feature allows you to define, for each price item on a form, the amount eligible for a tax receipt. This ensures compliance with current tax regulations, especially when the payment includes non-deductible goods or services.
What is a partial tax receipt?
A partial tax receipt only covers a portion of the payment made, corresponding solely to the elements eligible for tax deduction (e.g., a donation, or the non-market value part of a charity dinner).
This system is particularly useful for events or sales where part of the payment covers a good or service (which is not deductible).
How do I enable tax receipt eligibility on a price item?
When your organization has the "Tax Receipts" feature enabled, you can define the eligibility for each price item from the form settings:
Go to Forms, then open the relevant form (membership, event, product, etc.).
Create or edit a price item.
Locate the section Make this price eligible for issuing tax receipts.
-
Choose one of the following options:
No: No tax receipt will be issued.
Yes, in full: A tax receipt will be issued for the full amount paid.
Yes, partially: You must enter the eligible amount in euros.
You must enter an eligible amount strictly greater than 0 if you select "Yes, partially".
What options are available depending on the type of price?
Price Type |
Available Options |
| Fixed Amount Price | No / Yes, in full / Yes, partially |
| Free Amount Price | No / Yes, in full / Yes, partially |
| Free Rate | No options displayed (not eligible by default) |
Donation form prices are eligible by default. However, prices related to memberships, events, or products are not automatically eligible. You must now specify eligibility when creating each new form.
How is the tax receipt amount calculated?
A tax receipt is only issued if one or more price items in the payment are eligible.
If a price is partially eligible, the non-eligible amount is subtracted from the total paid.
If no price is eligible, no tax receipt is issued.
The tax receipt shows:
The total amount paid
The amount eligible for the tax receipt
What are the rules for installment payments?
Installment payments currently do not generate tax receipts on AssoConnect.
What happens to existing forms?
When this new feature is deployed:
If the form was eligible for tax receipts, all prices will be migrated to Yes.
If the form was not eligible, all prices will be set to No.
👉 You can then adjust these settings freely using this new option.
