Before starting
If you have created an online store, you may have found that you can take stock of your product's inventory.
In this article, we will help you to create and update the stock of a product. We will cover:
How to create stock for a product
To access your Stock Management from the Menu, go to Forms & Campaigns > Online store > Inventory management.
From here, click on +New in the top right corner of the page.
You will then arrive on the page to add the stock. On this page, you have to fill in: the stock name, the quantity, the unit value, and the date.
Click Save and your stock will be created.
By clicking on the Details icon and then the Edit icon (represented by a pencil), you will be able to modify the date, the quantity, and the unit value, or even delete the stock you have created.
Add or record the distribution of your stock
The stock sold feature allows you to record the distribution of your stock. E.g. If 2 quantities of your stock are missing, it is possible to distribute these two units of stock by clicking on the button Stock Sold.
To record sold stock, from the inventory page, head over to the Details icon of the desired product. Then, click on Stock sold (or loss).
The procedure for adding or distributing the stock is the same as for creating the stock: fill in the quantity, the unit value, and the date.
Deleting stock
General case
Go to Form & Campaigns > Online Store > Inventory Management to access your inventory list. Click on the Details icon of the stock you wish to delete.
Then click on the Edit icon of the row corresponding to the initial inventory.
The option to Delete is then available
Particular case
Deleting a stock may not be possible directly, for example, if the stock is linked to an accounting entry. In this case, you must first delete the entry, then the stock.
If other stock movements have been created, such as Add/distribution movements, these must be deleted in order to be able to delete the initial stock.
Finally, if a sale linked to a stock is subject to a refund, this generates a supply movement that is not displayed in the interface. You will therefore not be able to delete the initial stock in this case.
