Tipping method
You pay no transaction fees. Instead, Springly suggests a tip amount to the end-user, which can be edited at their discretion. The tip is calculated as a percentage of the initial order amount and can range anywhere from $0.25 to $25.
- Example 1: Let's say a user wants to purchase a membership fee for $10. When continuing to the payment phase, a tip of $2.35 is added to the total. Here, the user is free to edit their desired tip amount by clicking Edit my Tip, or even opt to not pay any tip at all. The final tip goes to Springly.
For payments by installments, the tip will be split across each installment and based on the installment amount.
-
Example: Let's say a donation of $150 is being made in 3 installments. The total tip suggested is $4. The breakdown of tips for each installment would be as follows:
- 1st installment: $50 + $1.34 tip = $51.34
- 2nd installment: $50 + $1.33 tip = $51.33
- 3rd installment: $50 + $1.33 tip = $51.33
Once paid, a confirmation email will be sent to the user with details concerning the transaction and tip amounts.
Fees method
Your organization bears the cost of online transactions in the amount of 3.1% + $0.30 per transaction
- Example: If a member pays their membership due of $100 via online payment, your organization will in fact receive $96.60, paying $3.40 in transaction fees.
If at any time, you wish to change your compensation method, you can do so by heading to Settings > Online Payment > Modify and making the necessary edits.
Note: If the initial order is refunded, the tip will not be refunded by Springly to the user. Tipping will also not be offered for offline payments, such as cash and checks.
